ABOUT RXN HUB
Reaction (RXN) HUB is a first-of-its-kind facility in Kingston, ON that brings together world-class infrastructure and expertise to help scale-up and integrate impactful chemical technologies into the world. The RXN HUB ecosystem initiative will directly support the scale-up and piloting of chemistry that has the power to fight climate and supply chain challenges, such as improving critical mineral processing for better EV battery technologies. Following a 2024 launch, the 20,000+ sq. ft. facility will accept growth-stage companies (TRL 4-8) in the advanced materials, clean energy, circular economy, and nanotechnology sectors to access shared infrastructure and hands-on technical support for piloting.
The RXN HUB will build on the momentum of Kingston’s growing cleantech ecosystem, with its rich history and deep strengths in chemistry, to support the growth of more Canadian cleantech successes. In RXN HUB’s specialized labs and piloting facilities, companies will have access to a full suite of services and equipment that can expedite procurement, subsidize the costs of de-risking and scaling technologies, and accelerate time to market. This global initiative will help build better domestic technologies, enable more collaboration across the national cleantech ecosystem, and retain/create new Canadian jobs in the green economy.

RXN HUB supports the commercialization of innovations in industrial manufacturing, commodities, and energy sectors using four pillars: We will support pilot projects of new technologies by providing growth-stage companies with access to shared infrastructure and hands-on technical support; we are coordinating the resources of the ecosystem to execute on large projects; we are developing academic and industrial research to share the data and the learnings of our hands on experience commercializing technologies; and we are leveraging direct relationships and deep technical expertise to support fundraising activities.
